1,000 Books Before Kindergarten: My first reading log
The North Logan City Library invites you and your child to participate in this fun, free program! Any child from birth through age 5 can sign up. You do NOT need a library card to participate. When you receive your reading log, keep track of how many books your child hears from that point on. It can be any book, as many times as they want (each time counts!), read by anyone. This includes other family members, teachers, or librarians. Write down the titles in this log, or simply make a check mark on the line for each book read. Getting up to 1,000 books doesn't take as long as you might think! If you read three books per day, you will be done in less than one year. If you read one book per day, it will take under three years. The pace is entirely up to you and your child, but finish before your child starts kindergarten to claim the final prizes. If you loose your book it is a $1.00 replacement fee. There is a one time sign-up registration.
- Sign-ups beginning October 2nd

We are happy to join with Operation Christmas Child to bring Christmas to children around the world! How to get started? 1. Come to the library to pick up a shoe box. 2. Pick what age and gender you would like to create the box for (all items need to fit in the box). 3. Take it home and fill it with new toys, school supplies, and personal care items (Please no toothpaste, candy, toy guns or knives in the boxes). 4. Pay $10 for shipping the box. 5. Return the box to the library for delivery. We will then deliver all the boxes to the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hyrum. They will then take them to Ogden to ship them off to countries around the world. Our goal this year is to make 150 boxes. Thank you for your generous donations and bringing joy to a child! All boxes are due back to the library by November 10th at 7:00 p.m.
